Nests logoTeachers and school community members in the City of Sydney are invited to attend meetings of NESTS: Network of Environmental & Sustainability Teachers Sydney. This network is designed for all teachers in City of Sydney schools, as well as interested parents and friends from your school’s community. The network will meet once a term and will inform interested teachers and parents about environmental and sustainability resources, showcase school sustainability initiatives and provide a space for participants to network with each other about environmental and sustainability ideas and issues.

School environment networks provide a forum for educators from schools, State and Local Government, community groups and other organisations to share resources, ideas and information. Guest speakers are invited to attend to present on a particular issue or theme. Responsibility for hosting the after school meeting once a term will be rotated amongst participating schools.

Meeting participants can register through their MyPl portal for one hour of accreditated professional learning with the NSW Institute of Teachers. To register, search under courses in the MyPL portal for course code NR 09055. Once you have attended the meeting, simply answer the evaluation questions and you will be accredited.
